Happy Mermaid Monday!
While I’m still sort of loopy from East Asian jet lag and suffering some serious beach withdrawal from the Andaman seaside, I wanted to make sure you merbbz knew all about the mer-magical Siam Mermaid Castle in Bangkok that I visited the other week!
I almost missed even seeing this place! I luckily found out about it through one of my Thai merbbz on Instagram ( thank you so so much @nanadezelo) and talk about serendipity because I was flying to Bangkok the very next day and this was right in the vicinity of my hotel.
After getting distracted by the endless sea of unique fashion boutiques and beauty stores, I came face to face with the glorious 4 story Siam Mermaid Castle. Yes, you read that right, 4 floors! Each filled with new products and prop setups to enchant the senses.
(For those merbbz who prefer video, I have a walk through available on my YouTube channel here)
Even from the outside, the flashy accessories and adorable decor with the cartoon siren lured me right in and I was hooked.
The first floor had an array of colorful jewelry, makeup brushes, costumes and customized denim, tops or just full out fun street wear. The way they lay this out is that each floor floats you up to the true, ultimate mermaid form.
The walls are painted in a neon fuschia and indigo shade with mermaid scales decals, and it’s the cutest. I wish my bedroom was this color!

And obviously, a mermaid store wouldn’t be complete without an array of swimmable mermaid tails, which were only in Neoprene but quite soft and affordable.
Then it was time to venture on to the second floor… Even more makeup, costumes, and blankets up there.

And okay how cute is this sign and set up enticing you for a mermaid snack on the next floor up?

As I was working my way up to the 3d floor, which was the cafe part of the shop, I started feeling a bit hungry!

After looking through some options, I decided on the mermaid cupcake, which I had seen countless times on their Insta + a mermaid blue lagoon pop! The frappes looked like they had way too much dairy in them though they looked gorg.
And then it was finally time for the infamous tail cupcake

Paired with a refreshing fizzy blue pop! It was the perfect combo after a hot afternoon in Siam Square.

After snacking time was over- it was time to explore the cafe’s floor, which had photo-booth areas for shell-fies. There were even more mini photo props on the final 4th floor, and a nice relaxation vibe for day dreaming merbbz.

There were so many things I wanted to buy (obviously) but I ended up choosing a shell mirror and a few tail earrings! Though I hope that they sell those plushies online because I totally would have bought more if I had more luggage space.
After a long day of exploring and shopping, I decided to call it a day. The mermaid castle overall is just a magical place that any merbb should check out if they ever find themselves in Bangkok! I would have spent my entire weekend there easily if I wasn’t on such a tight schedule ( I had spent around 3 hours in there already!).
The cafe pricing is on the higher side for Thailand, but if you’re from out of town it’s still totally affordable, there were also a few lunch items that were kind of junky. The products are also on the pricier side but they are just too adorable to resist, don’t you think?
